Women's Infrastructure Network - hosting an event?

Would your company be interested in hosting a site visit or inspirational talk for women working in infrastructure? We are in the planning phase for the latter part of 2018 and all of 2019.

Background

The Women’s Infrastructure Network (WIN) was launched in the United Kingdom in 2011. The purpose of this group is to grow the visibility of women and to provide a networking and support group for women in the infrastructure sector.

WIN has evolved into a dynamic forum designed for women in infrastructure to help facilitate connections and networking, exchange ideas, and help shape the infrastructure agenda. Members represent a diverse group across the entire spectrum of participants in the infrastructure industry and include members of public agencies, equity sponsors, infrastructure and pension funds, commercial and investment banks, law firms, financial, technical and insurance advisory firms, engineering and construction firms, operations and maintenance providers.

Our activities

During our evening panel discussions and key note speaker events, we get inspired by women (and sometimes men) and learn a bit more about interesting topics in our industry. Once per year the topic is centred around personal development, career progression and/or more inspirational.

A recent addition to our programme of activities are informal breakfast networking events, where everyone has a chance to make new contacts in a relaxed environment. We don't have any special topic or speaker for these events; the focus is to meet and talk to other members.

We also organise site visits, typically in London as that's where the majority of our members are based.

Interested?

If you are interested in hosting an event / site visit, please get in touch with me or anyone else on the WIN Board and organising committee.
