Profile - driven by challenges

Since joining John Laing (then Equion) in 2005 I have been the Bid Manager for two projects from start to finish and won both (Tunbridge Wells regeneration and Tunbridge Wells hospital). I have also achieved short listing on two further projects which are still in the bid phase (Aarhus hospital and Chattenden regeneration) and I re-scoped the Leicester hospital project and was involved in closing the North Staffs hospital project.

Furthermore, I have been facilitating an internal change management programme to improve the way John Laing bids for projects. Due to my language skills i have also been involved in evaluating various over-seas opportunities, especially in northern Europe.

Prior to joining John Laing, I was working for Balfour Beatty as the client’s sole Quantity Surveyor for the architectural work packages during the construction phase at the redevelopment at Kings Cross underground station.

I was instrumental in the development and implementation of business plans for the Ericsson Group. I am used to advising management teams and boards and I am a trained facilitator, skilled in power based selling as well as negotiations.

I thrive when I deal with complex project with tight deadlines, especially if they include strategic thinking, need for new solutions and innovative approaches.
